USAID announces Kazakhstan Rule of Law Project

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified entities to implement the Rule of Law program in Kazakhstan.
Goal and Objective
The overarching goal of this activity is to support legal reforms in Kazakhstan by strengthening the independence of the judiciary and creating a favorable legal environment for businesses and civil society organizations. The objectives of the program are:
- Strengthen legal enabling environment for business entities
- Strengthen legal enabling environment for nonprofit organizations
- Strengthen independence and professionalism of the judiciary
Funding Information
Subject to funding availability and at the discretion of the Agency, USAID intends to provide $8,000,000 in total USAID funding over a five-year period.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified U.S. and Non-U.S. organizations may participate under this NOFO.
- USAID welcomes applications from organizations that have not previously received financial assistance from USAID.
