The Mass Cultural Council is offering Operating Grants for Organizations to support the cultural sector.

Funding Information

• In FY25, grants ranged from $6,000 to $55,000.

Eligibility Criteria

• Only organizational entities are eligible to apply for Operating Grants for Organizations. If your profile is set up as an individual applicant account, used to apply for grants for individuals, you cannot see the grant opportunities meant for organizations.
• Individuals are not eligible to apply to this program.
• If you are an authorized representative of an eligible organization, you should login with the account associated with that organization.
• There are numerous industries that benefit from creativity. They value the creative energy you bring to this work.
• The following organization types are eligible to apply:
  • Nonprofits that are independent and have active (not revoked or dissolved as of the application deadline):
    • 501(c)3 status with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
  • And either
    • Registered with the Secretary of the Commonwealth (SOC) as incorporated in MA.
  • Or
    • Incorporated as a Nonprofit Corporation in another state, but registered with the SOC as a foreign corporation in MA, with a MA address.
  • Or
    • Registered as a Public Charity with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s (AGO) office.
