Background Information – Job-specificThe United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.
This post is located in UNEP’s Corporate Services Division, Enterprise Solutions Section at the Nairobi duty Station. The Enterprise Solutions Section is mandated to facilitate UNEP’s programme of work delivery through the use of IT and emerging digital technology solutions and overall business process automation. It undertakes a wide range of services, activities and projects. It works closely with internal clients throughout the project life cycle to tailor the services to their needs ensuring that the solution meets the required objectives from a specification, resource and time perspective.
One of the major activities that the Section is currently undertaking is the delivery of 6 digital readiness priorities contributing to the UNEP Digital Transformation Sub-Programme that was recently adopted by the UNEP Senior Management.
