Background Information – Job-specificThe United Nations Support Office for Somalia (UNSOS) is mandated to provide administrative and logistics support to its partners in implementing the United Nations Security Council resolution on Somalia.
The Field Technology Section (FTS) has embarked on multiple projects that involve complex analysis and design of client data and challenges in areas of process re-engineering, workflow automation, and data analytics.
In view of the above, the United Nations senior leadership is seeking to engage a competent partner in the areas of Business Analysis, Workflow Automation, and Data Analytics as a strategic enabler to facilitate the mission’s pursuit of Business Process Improvement and Innovation where it is critically required.
The incumbent would be a specialist who will engage with different business clients in UNSOM/UNSOS with a view to developing technological solutions that would deliver value to the client. These activities would fall under the categories of Client Relationship Management, Service Design Management, and Continuous Service Improvement.
The incumbent will work alongside a team of contract developers led by a P3 Information Systems Officer within FTS and from time to time would be required to deal with external vendors to get specifications and quotes for solutions being proposed to clients.
This is a position in UNOPS for supporting projects carried out for or in UNSOS. The incumbent of this position will be a staff member of UNOPS under its full responsibility.
