Urgent Needs. Requestors may apply for grants to provide relief and recovery support to meet the most urgent needs of those impacted (i.e., food, clothing, temporary shelter, counseling, and emergency medical needs).
Disaster Preparedness. Limited funding is also available to support organizational disaster preparedness and planning efforts. These grants are for those agencies that must provide ‘first response’ in time of disaster, or those organizations that provide continued or ongoing support to those residents impacted directly by the disaster (i.e., case management, healthcare, transportation, mental health support, employment and training).
Funding Focus

Grant monies will be available into the recovery-rebuilding phase as resources allow. Grants will support the direct relief efforts of nonprofit agencies and faith-based organizations providing services and resources to those in need. Grants will prioritize reaching marginalized populations and those in under-served communities.

SCF believes that disaster response and recovery work is short-term, intermediate-term and long-term, and they will provide funding for the longer term if possible.
They believe in partnering with trusted nonprofits and generous donors to address the gaps that emerge; to reach those in need, and in supporting nonprofits to accomplish this important work that requires tremendous effort and focus.
They believe in transparency and collaboration, and in helping others. They balance compassion with due diligence to ensure fairness.
