Strategic office context

The main strategy is to support an agile mix of static primary health care services that is complimented by regular outreach (especially during the dry season) and community-based health care to increase and expand equitable coverage and access, especially for mobile or hard to reach populations with intermittent periods of stability and weather-constrained access.
The target population is approximately 1.8 million people, including 85,000 pregnant women; 82,000 children under one; and 382,000 children under five. The package of services and scope of activities to be supported includes: child health; maternal and neonatal health; basic and comprehensive emergency obstetric and newborn care; sexual and gender-based violence services; as well as emergency preparedness and response.
