How can you make a difference?
Support to programme development and planning: support the Section Head in advocacy, planning, implementation, review and reporting on the child protection program and more specifically on Children on the move and Social Cohesion issues;
 Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results: Accompany and monitor the implementation of the activities in the area as well as the disbursements to partners and timely liquidation of funds in accordance with HACT rules; Carry out field missions and programmatic visits to accompany and monitor a quality implementation of the program’s actions about children on the move and social cohesion;
Technical and operational support to programme implementation: Work in collaboration with the office team, to ensure proper integration of the assigned duties into the strategic orientations of the Protection Program, in accordance with UNICEF rules and procedures; Represent UNICEF in meetings in the area and wherever needed; Perform any other task deemed necessary for the achievement of the results of the child protection program.
Networking and partnership building Collaborate with other NGOs and CSO to ensure complementarity and synergy of actions on children on the move and social cohesion issues in accordance with the international norms and standards;
Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building: provide quality technical assistance to the implementing partners operating in the area for the achievement of the protection of children on the move and to ensure social cohesion; Organize/Participate in capacity building sessions.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
A first university degree in the field of social sciences, international development, public administration, psychology, sociology, international law or other related fields;
A solid expertise and relevant experience of at least 2 to 3 years in the field of Child Protection;
A relevant experience related to children on the move and social cohesion would be an asset;
An experience of at least two years in the implementation of development programs and projects;
A good capacity for synthesis and analysis;
An excellent ability to work in a team;
A Fluency in French and English;
Availability to work at UNICEF under this position until 31 December 2020.
