POSITIONS ANNOUNCEME:NT: GSA- MOTORPOOL COORDINATOR
The position is based at the Peace Corps Office in Dakar, Senegal. Under the direct supervision of the General Services Manager (or designate), the GSA Motor Pool/communication is primarily responsible for: a) managing ail services related to coordination the movement of vehicles and drivers; b) All PCV related telephone issue, and; c) all shipping duties. Due to the myriad of duties required, the incumbent will need an inborn sense of prioritization and organization and can reasonably expert to work some evening. holiday and weekend hours. • Manage the vehicle pool including coordination of vehicle maintenance and repairs with the GSA/mechanic. • Register all fuel transactions into the software in place (VMIS). Monthly check of fuel bills, certification, and submission to the hierarchy for validation and payment. • Daily management of vehicles movement. Coordinate movement logistics for conferences and training activities. • Manage driver performance. Provide communications and logistics support to the drivers. • Lead annual driver training. • Maintain all vehicle files in compliance with Peace Corps regulations. • Obtain quotes for purchasing, and execute selected purchases related to motor pool management; assure appropriate documentation and filing of quotes and procurement related documents. • Perform regular updates on all vehicle: temporary admissions, insurances, fire extinguishers, first aids tools and assure their functionality at all times. • Manage PCV pre-paid float of telephone • Assist with all shipping related issues — both for PCVs and official PC/Senegal business. • The GSA is designated Sub-cashier. Requirements Education:. Completion of high school (BAC) is required . Higher education level an advantage. Work experience: At least three years of experience managing vehicle fleet, of which at least one year must have been in a U.S. or other Government agency or international NGO. Must have a driving license submitted with the application. Mechanical skills for maintenance and repairs is an added advantage. Languages skiffs: Good verbal and written communication skiffs in French and English equivalent to Level 3. Higher language skills is an advantage, Required fluency in Wolof and one office national language spoken in .Senegal. Computer skiffs: basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Customer service: prior experience in a customer service giving role an advantage.
