Take part in the competition for supporting small social initiatives of organizations of people with disabilities! The competition is held by the United Nations Development Program in Uzbekistan within the framework of the United Nations Joint Program on Social Protection.

The United Nations Development Program in Uzbekistan announces a competition to support small project initiatives of organizations of people with disabilities within the framework of the United Nations Joint Program on Social Protection.

The joint UN program (ILO, UNICEF and UNDP) on social protection aims to strengthen the social system by developing a comprehensive national social protection strategy that meets international standards for social protection of children and adults.

Expanding access to social protection for people with disabilities and ensuring their inclusion in various aspects of public life, as well as implementing innovative approaches to providing comprehensive social protection for people with disabilities, especially women and young people with disabilities, in the context of the COVID pandemic.
Funding Information

Technical assistance to the winning projects in the equivalent of USD 3,000 to USD 5,000.
Based on the results of the competitive selection, projects will be divided into:
projects from 3 to 6 months and
Projects from 6 to 12 months.

Requirements

Projects developed by members of organizations of people with disabilities must be submitted;
applicants must fill out an application, describing the project in detail, including an indication of the goals, benefits, relevance, and implementation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in Uzbekistan.

When considering submitted projects to UNDP, the evaluation committee is guided by the following main criteria:

The practical significance of the project
Strengthening the impact of the organization of the competition participant on solving specific problems of people with disabilities
Relevance and new approach in solving problems related to disability
Project sustainability
Qualification of performers for the implementation of the project in full within the stated time frame
Contribution of the applicant organization to this project (both material and financial)
Experience in working with grants (achieving set goals and meeting financial reporting requirements)
