Early Grant Information for NGOs

Goal: Developing Female Leadership in Higher Education to Elevate Gender Equity and Improve Women’s Participation in Leadership and Decision-making Positions.

Objectives

25 women academic leaders will be equipped with the skills and professional growth opportunities necessary to compete for senior leadership positions (Vice chancellor/ Policy level work) within two years.
75 female faculty members/heads of departments/Deans in universities across Pakistan that have more than 15 years of teaching experience with a potential for growth in higher education will receive transformational experiences and opportunities through virtual and in-person engagement with U.S. experts within two years that will equip them for career advancement.
500 or more female faculty members will connect via the virtual platform created within two years and share resources, lessons learned and contacts.
Proposals should recommend effective activities and strategies to elevate gender equity and improve women’s participation in leadership and decision-making positions in academia and provide mentorship opportunities for women academicians in Pakistan aspiring to top level positions. They are looking for proposals that build long-term, self-sustaining relationships and linkages between the female higher education community in United States and Pakistan. Proposed activities should include:

USD 1 MILLION Grants for Innovative Solutions to combat Water Scarcity

Climate Fund to alleviate energy poverty in Developing Countries

This Request for Applications is open to strengthening the Economic Development Efforts

Grants for African CSOs to implement activities in SGBV, SRHR, HP, and VAWG

Small Research Grants for the improvement of education

This grant-making trust inviting Charities to help Socially Disadvantaged Groups during COVID-19

Support available for NGOs working on social innovation, inclusiveness and sustainability

Advocacy grants to strengthen the voice of communities and grassroots activists

USD $250,000 to $2 million funding available for each selected partner to address Covid-19 impact in select countries

Funding provided through capital support for community development projects

Endowment Funding of € 25,000 for young people fighting for freedom

Small Grant Fund for protecting endangered animal species

Seed Funding for Youth-led Organisations: Invitation to Submit Proposals

Grant Opportunity to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 and Future Pandemics

Creation of a network of Pakistani women leaders in higher education. Invite their ideas regarding achieving greater representation of women in senior leadership roles in Pakistan to inform the direction of the project.
Create a national network and hub of resources for mid to senior female faculty in Pakistan with the potential to expand to the South Asia region. This network will advance both the individual participants and their respective institutions of higher education.
Connect women leaders in Pakistan’s higher education sector to programs like the hersnetwork.org for continued professional growth.
Engage U.S. trainers, speakers, and mentors with at least 100 female leaders to provide training and sharing of best practices from the U.S. in virtual and in-person interactions. These sessions will contribute to the professional growth of participants as leaders in the higher education sector.

Eligibility Criteria

The following organizations are eligible to apply:
Not-for-profit organizations that have expertise in higher education female leadership development
Public and private educational institutions in the United States
Organizations may sub-contract with other entities, but only one, non-profit, nongovernmental entity can be the prime recipient of the award. When sub-contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal.
