Program Objectives
The U.S.-Japan Alliance celebrated sixty years in 2020. To ensure the future success of the Alliance, the next generation of U.S.-Japan leaders must be committed to this bilateral partnership. This Alliance is key to achieving a secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific.
Despite the many challenges to realizing this vision, including territorial and maritime disputes, differing economic approaches, environmental and health concerns, and historical considerations, a strong U.S.-Japan partnership and multilateral cooperation are needed to address these challenges and ensure economic prosperity, good governance, and peace and security become a reality for all in the Indo-Pacific.
