U.S. Department of State, Bureau of DRL announces Addressing Early and Forced Marriage in Morocco

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) has announced an open competition for organizationsinterested in submitting applications for projects that promote rule of law and advance the equal status and participation of women and girls in public life.
DRL’s goal is to support rule of law in Morocco. DRL’s objective is to promote equality and accountability in Morocco by ensuring implementation of and advocacy for legal frameworks restricting early and forced marriage.
Funding Information
- Award Ceiling: $750,000
- Award Floor: $250,000
Eligibility Criteria
- DRL welcomes applications from U.S.-based and foreign-based non-profit organizations/nongovernment organizations (NGO) and public international organizations; private, public, or state institutions of higher education; and for-profit organizations or businesses.
- DRL’s preference is to work with non-profit entities; however, there may be some occasions when a for-profit entity is best suited.
