U.S. Department of Education: Educational Technology, Media, and Materials for Individuals with Disabilities

Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) and Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) are seeking applications for “Educational Technology, Media, and Materials for Individuals with Disabilities: Stepping-up Technology Implementation” to improve early childhood, educational, and employment outcomes and raise expectations for all people with disabilities, their families, their communities, and the Nation.
Purpose
The purposes of the program are to:
- Improve results for students with disabilities by promoting the development, demonstration, and use of technology;
- Support educational activities designed to be of educational value in the classroom for students with disabilities;
- Provide support for captioning and video description that is appropriate for use in the classroom; and provide accessible educational materials to students with disabilities in a timely manner.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- City or township governments
- Private institutions of higher education
- County governments
- Special district governments
- For profit organizations other than small businesses
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
- Independent school districts
- State governments
