Topwork Senegal is hiring for a temporary contract (1 year) in the Energy Sector a Fire & Gas detection Technician.

The Fire and Gas Detection Technician will test, inspect, calibrate, and maintain fire and gas related equipment especially mobile Gas detector.

External Description

• Calibrate, adjust, makes minor repairs to gas detectors
• Record and evaluate test data.
• Perform functional testing
• Uses and cares for tools and equipment employed to perform calibration and testing such as analog gas calibration devices, gas detectors (Draeger XAM8000, XAM2500, XAM5000, …)
• Examine work and materials for compliance with job and safety specifications
• Job setup, including Selecting proper tools, equipment, and materials.
• Attend various components of technical, developmental and safety training.
• Promote safe work practices and implement company and client safety policies for work crew, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation.
• Demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.
