Major Duties

The Payroll Liaison/Voucher Examiner (PL/VE) serves as the main point of contact for timekeepers and ensures that payroll policies and procedures are followed correctly. This position works on all types of vouchers, reconciling accounts, and developing and maintaining various spreadsheets in the reconciliation process.

Job requirements:
– Experience: Five years’ experience in finance, payroll, budgets, or accounting is required.
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or Financial Management is required.

Evaluations:

Language: Level III (good working knowledge) reading, writing and speaking in English and French is required. (This may be tested.)

Skills and abilities:
– Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel intermediate computer skills in -Microsoft word and PowerPoint are required.
– Must have analytic skills to quickly analyze transactions, documentation, and records to determine any source of imbalances and to correct any discrepancies.
– Must have excellent customer service skills, including the ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with issues affecting all levels of employees.
– Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Good numerical skill is required.
