DESCRIPTION DU PROGRAMME
The Thailand Research Fund, a state research funding agency, in co-operation with the Office of the Higher Education Commission and the National Science and Technology Development Agency, launched a program to counter the problem of severe shortage of highly qualified human resources in Thailand.
MONTANT/PRESTATIONS
Monthly allowances/tuition and research/ Expenses for research trips abroad :
– 1.5-2.0 million THB

The student must achieve First Class or Second Class Honors in his/her Bachelor and Master-level degree.
To assure that the academic outcome will attain international standards, only those Ph.D. advisors with good research records and having co-advisors or collaborators in recognized universities abroad will be awarded RGJ-PhD grants.
CONDITIONS SUPPLÉMENTAIRES
Each student is required to produce a least one international publication before his/her graduation.
INSCRIPTION / CANDIDATURE
There are 3 steps involved:
– Step 1: PhD advisors in public or private Thai universities wishing to apply for RGJ-PhD grants should send completed PK 2.2/49 forms and loaded diskettes (which can be sent by email as attached files) to TRF.
– Step 2: Applicants for grants will be assessed on their research records, research grants received, and the strength and seriousness of their collaborators abroad. Results of the grant awards will be announced on the TRF and the RGJ-PhD websites.
– Step 3: Qualified PhD students wishing to apply for RGJ-PhD research assistantships should apply directly to the PhD advisor recipients of RGJ-PhD grants in Step 2 above. Successful students will receive the first installment of the grants.
