Deadline: Ongoing OpportunityThe Pollination Project is seeking applications Daily Grant program designed to kick start an organization or individual’s work and give them the lift they need to thrive and grow.

At The Pollination Project, their goal is to contribute to the creation of a more just, sustainable, and compassionate world for all. They work towards that goal through their support of community-driven grassroots initiatives that empower individuals and inspire others.This means that rather than narrowly defining the issues or types of work that they fund or the geographical regions in which they make grants, they instead choose to be led by our applicants. So long as a project fits their criteria, they can consider any charitable work anywhere in the world which moves them towards a better world.

They value relationship over transaction, and hope to walk beside you on your path long after your initial grant funding has been spent. In addition to one-time seed funding of up to $1000, joining the global community of changemakers offers:
The opportunity to apply for other one-time funding opportunities that TPP may offer existing granteesCapacity-building support and connectivity with other changemakers within the global networkOpportunities to have your work showcased to the broader TPP community through articles, social media, and/or videoAfter initial grant reporting, the opportunity to request that TPP serve as a fiscal sponsor on a per project basis.This allows individuals and informal groups to accept charitable donations from other donors outside of TPPSupport in connecting with other funders and donors upon completion of initial grant reporting

What do grant advisors look for?

They also consider:Impact of the project itselfHow meaningfully seed funding of $1,000 will move the project forward, and how likely it is that the applicant can bridge any gaps between total funding needed versus what has currently been raisedThe strength of the applicant’s connection to the community they want to serveWhat efforts the applicant has taken to maximize non-financial resources, such as recruiting volunteers or seeking in-kind donations
Ineligible ProjectsAnimal farming activities or animal products (such as meat, eggs, honey, milk, and leather).Academic and research projects.One-time donations.Beekeeping projects producing honey for sale or human consumption.Support for political parties, campaigns, or elections.Projects that discriminate based on race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, age, or faith.Projects that evangelize or require beneficiaries to participate in faith-based practices.
Items They Do Not FundPayments to a grantee or grantee’s family for their time or services.Synthetic/chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or fungicides.Non-recycled paper.One-time use disposable plastic products.
Eligibility CriteriaThey accept applications from individuals, groups, and startup not-for-profit organizations based anywhere in the world.Proposals must meet the following guidelines to be considered:For All Applicants:Your project must serve charitable community purposes and not personal gain.You/Your organization must not already be a recipient of TPP’s Daily Grant.You or your organization must be able to receive a wire transfer.Your project’s total budget must be under $10,000 USD.
For Organizations:No paid staff (occasional professional services such as web design, accounting, etc. are allowed).No organizational promotion or advocacy for animal agriculture.Annual budget must not exceed $50,000.
