A Migration Finance Officer (MFO)

Attached to the Regional Finance Manager and the Regional Migration Coordinator as part of the Africa region finance team, the Migration Finance Officer will be responsible of the following tasks :
• Responsibility for financial control of DFID/DANIDA funded migration project quarterly reporting received from the countries
• Responsibility of uploading the cash requests Execute once approved by the Deputy Head of Region.
• Responsibility for informing of registered deviation in program budgets
• Ensure that expenses related to the Migration Protect incurred al HO and Regional level are coded in the right program and using the appropriate budget lines
• Assure that all financial/budgetary documents are correct and produced in due time
• Maintain overview of regional migration program budgets and funding needs
• Control and monitoring of Migration projects expenses and timely spending, i.e. follow up on under or slow spending
• Prepare and or provide input to various financial overviews to the Regional Finance Manager or to the Regional Migration Coordinator
• Provide financial data to HO on the Migration project upon request
• Apply Program Management System (PLIS) in daily work, on the Migration Regional project
• Ensure that donor guidelines (DFID & DANIDA) are strictly adhered to in the Migration Regional project
• Under the orientation of the Regional Finance Manager, contribute to the Capacity Development of National Society Partners’ financial administration
• Under the supervision of the Regional Finance Manager an in coordination with Country Finance Officers ensure yearly financial and performance audits for the Migration regional protect, incl. tender process for local auditors, instruct these and ensure that guidelines are followed
• Contribute to the regional grants and budgets management and analysis, to the regional financial portfolio monitoring; to the regional office financial monitoring, budget and time registration and to the regional program reporting and controlling system

PROFLE: You hold a Master Degree in Finance, Audit or a related field. You have a previous experience of 5 -10 years in an international NGO. You have a proven track record of successful leadership of finance teams. You have a good knowledge of tax and company law in the region. You have good computer skills, as well as good oral and written communication skills bath in English and French You have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, financial and organizational development skills, and you have excellent analytical and financial planning skills.
