TB REACH Wave 9 Call for Proposals: Addressing Shortcomings in Drug-resistant Tuberculosis Care

Stop TB Partnership’s TB REACH initiative launches its Wave 9 round of funding today, focused on drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB). Wave 9 funding is being launched in collaboration and with financial support and guidance from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and additional support from Global Affairs Canada.

Early Grant Information for NGOs

Applicants are encouraged to consider the use of technology, innovative models, as well as other bold strategies to improve linkages to treatment, increasing the number of people started on all-oral regimens, or improve the treatment success of people initiating DR-TB treatments. Coordination with national partners will be critical for successful applicants as no financial support for second-line drugs will be provided through the TB REACH grants.

Focus Areas

In Wave 9, seek proposals that will focus on one of three areas:

USD 1 MILLION Grants for Innovative Solutions to combat Water Scarcity

Climate Fund to alleviate energy poverty in Developing Countries

This Request for Applications is open to strengthening the Economic Development Efforts

Grants for African CSOs to implement activities in SGBV, SRHR, HP, and VAWG

Small Research Grants for the improvement of education

This grant-making trust inviting Charities to help Socially Disadvantaged Groups during COVID-19

Support available for NGOs working on social innovation, inclusiveness and sustainability

Advocacy grants to strengthen the voice of communities and grassroots activists

USD $250,000 to $2 million funding available for each selected partner to address Covid-19 impact in select countries

Funding provided through capital support for community development projects

Endowment Funding of € 25,000 for young people fighting for freedom

Small Grant Fund for protecting endangered animal species

Grant program for transforming women’s lives for hard to fund projects

Seed Funding for Youth-led Organisations: Invitation to Submit Proposals

Grant Opportunity to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 and Future Pandemics

Reduce pre-treatment loss to follow up for people with DR-TB.
Implementation of all oral DR-TB treatment regimens.
Improving treatment adherence and outcomes for people with DR-TB.
Funding Information

In Wave 9, all awarded projects will have a grant ceiling of USD 600,000.
Eligibility Criteria

Applicants submitting proposals in this wave must be local, non-governmental organizations from USAID TB priority countries.
These countries are: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
