Submissions open for International Co-productions Grant in Canada

Canadian artistic groups and organizations now have the opportunity to access funding for international collaborations through the International Co-productions stream, part of the Arts Across Canada and Abroad program.

This funding aims to support the development and public presentation of new artistic works or exhibitions created in partnership with foreign arts organizations.

The program offers up to $50,000 in grant funding to support either artistic or financial co-productions. In artistic co-productions, two or more artistic groups or organizations—both Canadian and international—combine creative, financial, and human resources to co-create and co-produce new work, sharing credit for the final presentation, exhibition, or publication. In the case of financial co-productions, Canadian festivals or presenters provide financial support for a work being developed by a foreign artist or organization, with the final piece presented publicly in Canada.

Eligible applicants include Canadian artistic groups and organizations, including First Nations, Inuit, and Métis collectives and not-for-profit organizations, as well as Canadian presenting organizations. Projects must lead to public outcomes either in Canada or internationally, such as exhibitions, performances, or publications.

This funding stream is a valuable opportunity for Canadian artists to expand their reach, collaborate internationally, and bring diverse, high-quality creative projects to audiences both at home and abroad.
