Submissions open for Godolphin Edwards Fund (United Kingdom)

The Godolphin Edwards Fund started life as the Godolphin Edwards Relief in Need Charity, many years ago. The fund was to ‘relieve either generally or individually persons resident in the parishes of Acton Burnell, Frodesley, Pitchford and Langley & Ruckley who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress by making grants of money or providing or paying for items, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons.

Eligible Projects

• Your project must meet one of the following aims:
  • Organisations should be supporting local people, by helping to improve their health, education or quality of life.
  • They can also consider applications from organisations who are providing a service or facility which would otherwise be unavailable to local people, such as community transport schemes.

Geographic Reach

• Organisations should be based in, or working in, one of the following civil parishes;
  • Acton Burnell
  • Frodesley
  • Pitchford
  • Ruckley & Langley

Eligibility Criteria

• Constituted community and voluntary groups
• Registered Charities
• Social Enterprises

Ineligibility Criteria

• Non-constituted community or voluntary groups
• Statutory agencies
• Organisations that have been established less than 12 months
• Organisations that do not have a proven track record of service delivery
• Private companies

Application Requirements

• The following documents must be provided with your application form.  If you fail to provide these documents your application will not be considered for funding.  All documents should be submitted at the time of application.
  • A copy of your governing document, (constitution or Memorandum and Articles of Association)
  • A copy of your most recent accounts, (audited or independently examined)
  • A recent bank statement, (dated within the last three months clearly showing account number and sort code)
  • A copy of your safeguarding policy
  • At least three quotes for any capital items
