– MARINE LOGISTIC COORDINATOR OR PORT CAPTAIN –
For one of our client on a major industrial project, Wise Lab and Energia are looking for a Marine Logistic Coordinator.
Responsibilities
• Single point of contact of the project operations team for the marine logistics support to our offshore operations.
• Coordinates the marine aspects regarding preparation of vessels, marine units and loading and unloading operations, in liaison with logistic coordinator and under instruction of Project’s Operation Management.
• Liaises with offshore Managers and Captains of installation vessels, supply/chartered vessels and other stakeholders to ensure full assistance is provided in terms of marine support such as fuel,
Food, Waste, Fresh water, Spares supply, Medical support, port access permits, Crew Changes…
• Plans port programs /Quay side activities according to Project requirements
• Coordinates on ground Caterers, Waste Disposai Companies, stevedoring,deliveries in Port from Suppliers, (…), in close relation with SCM & Logistics.
• Ensures efficient and effective relationsh ips interfaces with logistics agents, local authorities and government agencies to support our business
• Ensures issuance of adequate on/off hire (internal /external) for our marine spread (under approval of Project operation management)
• Ensures strict compliance of Company Cargo Manifest.
• Actively reporting all undesired events and safety observations using the Safety Observation system and Undesired Events Report system.
Experience and Qualifications
• Past experience in a similar position with strong knowledge of Local and international Marine
Standards, at leat 8 years
• Strong experience in Dakar’s port and in the in Logistics/Shipping industry
• Good Communication skills and accuratereporting
• Good coordination skills and availability
• Must be fluent in English (both oral and written)
• Must be flexible in approach to work and possesses the ability to change priorities as and when business or Company/ Clientneeds dictate
• Able to work under pressure and ENERGIA
• Experience as Freight forwarder Shipping Agent
• Knowledge of ln-Country Immigration and Port State Control rules
• Avalaible ASAP
