STEM Grant Funding in the United Kingdom

The Millennium Point Charitable Trust is seeking applications for STEM Grant Funding to support the growth and advancement of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) within the West Midlands.
The inclusive charity that aims to support STEM initiatives for all young people.
Whether you receive a grant or not, they want you to get involved in the STEM network. The network spans across the West Midlands region from local schools right through to business leaders, all working towards the same goal.
MPT awards grants to organisations situated in Local Authorities that are members of the West Midlands Combined Authority.
Categories
MPT supports projects that fall within the following three categories:
Implementing a creative and interactive STEM Curriculum in Education
Projects which introduce exciting and innovative STEM projects or activities into the classroom which in turn engage pupils of all ages from Nursery up to school leavers
Projects which inspire an interest in STEM subjects in schools
Projects which open up STEM learning opportunities to under-privileged groups
Projects which have a strong STEM focus across the curriculum
Promoting STEM Careers
Projects will need to fulfil one or more of the following:
Target young people to pursue careers in STEM from an early age.
Deliver ‘STEM-centric’ events to engage young people.
Encourage parents and or teachers to learn more about STEM opportunities and STEM career choices open to young people.
Develop school programmes of work to showcase STEM career opportunities.
Promote STEM learning in local communities.
Purchasing of STEM Resources
Projects will need to fulfil one or more of the following:
Enhance STEM education through the purchase of STEM equipment for schools or nurseries or other organisations.
Improve knowledge through the purchasing of STEM literature/books, ideally, this will be linked to a larger STEM project.
Provide digital resources for pupils (i.e. Laptops/ iPads/ Google chrome books etc.). Please remember to detail how this links to STEM education and provide an outline of the STEM project or education programme that the resources will be used for.
Reduce digital poverty and provide further opportunities to engage in new STEM skills and learning.
Funding Information
They award grants up to £20,000 to organisations that form part of the WMCA. The project must also be carried out in the regions covered by the WMCA. The grant is a one-off payment to fund projects that conclude within 12 months of payment.
Eligible Project
Implementing a creative and interactive STEM Curriculum in education
Projects will need to fulfil one or more of the following:
Introduce exciting and innovative STEM projects or activities into the classroom which in turn engage pupils of all ages from Nursery up to school leavers.
Inspire an interest in STEM subjects in schools.
Engage underprivileged or marginalised groups in STEM learning, making it more accessible and inclusive.
Focus strongly on enhancing STEM across the curriculum.
