Solidarités International (SI) recruits 01 WASH Program Manager

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant international WASH experience, preferably in emergency or humanitarian contexts
• Experience in managing team in complex working environment
• Previous experience in IDP camps and conflict/post-conflict contexts is highly preferred
• Experience of budget management and donor compliance
• A previous experience with SI is an asset

Technical skills and knowledge:

• Emergency water supply, sanitation and civil engineer competencies required
• Strong external communication and coordination skills are required
• Good knowledge of participatory methods for hygiene promotion (PHAST, CLTS) required
• Previous experience with water networks is an asset
• Knowledge in sludge treatment is an asset
• Ability to manage and prioritize a high workload and multiple tasks with tight deadlines
• A good understanding of humanitarian issues, including IDPs camp management;
• Experience of establishing strong working relationships with heterogeneous stakeholders

Transferable skills:

• Diplomacy and strong communication skills
• Ability to take initiatives, decisions and work in autonomy
• Good problem-solving skills in day to day and emergencies
• Capacity to analyze and report on security
• Capacity to work in remote areas with difficult access
• An understanding of and commitment to SI’s mission and values

Languages:

• Good communication skills, with very good written and spoken English
• Knowledge of Bengali, Burmese or Rakhine is an asset

Other desirable qualities:

Myanmar, or at least South-east Asia, experience is an asset.

SI will offer you:

A salaried post: according to experience from 1980 euros gross per month (1800 base salary + 10% annual leave).

A monthly Per Diem of 500 USD.

Social and medical cover: Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which reimburses all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.

Vacation: During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of one break every three months. Our policy was just modified: from now on, Solidarités offers you 7 working days ever three months, with a 850 USD allowance for each break. In addition to these regular break, SI adds a day off per worked month. These days off as well as the breaks are not deducted from the paid leaves that are paid every months with your salary as they are offered by the organization.
