Conseil Santé, a french consulting company, has been recently awarded with an AfDB-funded project in Kenya entitled: « CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR HIV/AIDS, STIs, RH, GENDER, ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS AND SENSITIZATION FOR MULTINATIONAL BAGAMOYO – HOROHORO/LUNGA LUNGA – MALINDI ROAD PROJECT PHASE 1: MOMBASA – MTWAPA –KILIFI (A7) ROAD SECTION ».

The overall objective of this assignment is to enhance capacity of the Mombasa-Mtwapa-Kilifi Project, to mitigate against social risks related to HIV/AIDS exposure, gender integration, and road safety behavioral interventions. The assignment will directly target the communities living within the project zone of influence including trading centres and settlements, and project employees of the contractor and supervision consultant.

The mission will last 3 years on a full-time basis, i.e. 36 months of mobilization in the country.

QUALIFICATION

In the framework of this tender, we are looking for a team of experts, that should bring together six profiles, including a Sociologist/Team Leader, with the following required qualifications:

The Sociologist shall be the project coordinator and shall be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the project.

He/She must possess a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (Sociology, Social work, Anthropology and Community Development) and with at least fifteen (15) years professional experience of which ten (10) years must be in management and coordination of HIV/AIDS and gender.

He/She must have extensive broad experience in social programming and project management, HIV/AIDS & gender programming, and monitoring & evaluation.

Previous experience on similar projects within Coast region will be an added advantage.
