Job Description

To provide cashier/bookkeeper services to Hawassa SNV Office and support other development Programmes and partners in the transfer of funds.

Key Responsiblities:

Handling of office petty cash,

Maintaining cash and bank books,

Keeping document files sequentially,

Communicating with bank,

Settlement of tax returns to the respective tax offices on time

Contributing to procedures and strategy.

Manages own time to achieve departmental objectives

To process and report financial transactions, to support SNV in managing/controlling financial risks and in making decisions

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Applicants should possess the following Educational, Experience qualifications and requirements:

EDUCATION

Diploma in Accounting

At least three years of work experience in a finance role

Good Communication skills (written & spoken English)

Experience in project financial management.

Ability to work independently, as well as in a team.

An ability to write clear and concise reports, both in English; very good spoken and written English.

Good command of computer software packages e.g. WinWord and Excel. Eager to learn new software packages to adapt to the real project finance management needs.
