SIF is recruiting A Program Manager based in Ramallah

SIF has been operating in Palestine since 2009, through its offices located in Ramallah in West

bank and in Gaza.

SIF is currently implementing humanitarian and development projects in Food Security, WASH

and Livelihoods, Orphan Welfare and “seasonal projects” in the West Bank.

Based in Ramallah, the Program Manager will manage and supervise the Program team (Project

Managers, Officers, Engineers and field assistants) operating in the West bank.


Mission/ Role

The Program Manager is under the direct supervision of the Head of Base, s/he is responsible for

the overall management of projects/ programs in the West Bank, and s/he will work closely with

SIF teams as following:

  • In coordination with the mission/region staff identify thematic areas to conduct need assessments respecting a thorough methodology
  • Support the processes to develop long term Childhood Welfare, Food Security, WASH & Livelihoods projects and get institutional funding;
  • Support the Head of Base to develop project ideas within the framework of existing program proposals, in consultation with all actors including mission staff, local authorities, communities and non-state actors
  • Develop procedures that promote best practice & improve the mission capacity to source and manage funding;
  • Provide assistance & support regarding the management of funding contracts, including advising on issues of capacity building work, risk mitigation strategies, timely and accurate reporting, monitoring and evaluation practices
  • Support the team to develop Action Plans and strategy
  • Manage the program teams: briefing, planning, follow-up, management, performance review and appraisal, technical capacity buildings, recruitment, etc.
  • Support the sound management of the programs’ budgets: regular monitoring of the expenditure status according to the allocated budgets and programmatic forecasts, validation of the expenditures s/he is responsible for.
  • Take active part in the reporting activities related to the mission
Expériences / Formation du candidatYou hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Project management or related fields. You have gained minimum 5 years of professional experience in program management, including proposal and report writing, monitoring and evaluation, budgeting.

You have demonstrated experience in fundraising, partnership buildind and team management.

You are able to work under pressure.

Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is required.

Familiarity with the Palestinian situation and Arabic proficiency are an asset.
