Program Purpose

Arts Grants offer short-term project funding to New Zealand artists, arts practitioners and arts organisations that will enable the following:

Funding Information

For grants between $10,000 and $75,000, your project, or the stage of it for which you are seeking funding, must:
start after 8 May 2020
be completed within a 12 month period and no later than by 8 August 2021
For grants up to $10,000, your project, or the stage of it for which you are seeking funding, must:
start after 22 May 2020
be completed within a 12 month period and no later than 22 August 2021
Eligibility Criteria

Individuals who are New Zealand (NZ) citizens or permanent residents.
NZ-based organisations.
International arts organisations but the application must show direct benefit to NZ arts.
To apply to Māori arts:
the applicant must be Tangata Whenua Māori or your proposed project must be managed or directed by Māori
organisations must be Māori-led. If an organisation is applying for funding on behalf of an individual, that person must also be Māori.
