The role

Save the Children is recruiting an experienced Program Coordinator DEVCO who will responsible for the overall program coordination of the implementation of a 3-year Institutional strengthening programme funded by the EU aimed at foster Early Warning System and Response capacity building in 11 countries in West-Africa. The project will seek to reinforce civil society and regional / national institutions through the transfer of expertise, support for the sustainable appropriation of methodologies and processes to ensure the quality and reliability of analysis and participation within the PREGEC system.


-> Graduate and/or Master’s degree in project management, international studies, administrative management and other related subject matters.

Experience and Skills

-> 3 to 5 years in a project management position
-> Proven experience of working with National and Regional Institutions, International organizations, Civil Society organizations especially within the Food Crisis Prevention and Response System
-> Experience with data driven programme, data analysis related to food security and economy analysis with a complex setup of multi-actors in multi-countries for data collection and analysis
-> Experience in report writing and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning
-> Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence others and build strong working relationship
-> Excellent organizational capacities, as well as planning; -> Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks, and deliver to time
-> Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
-> Good level in English and French
-> Commitment to child rights and sustainable development
-> Commitment to the aims and principles of SC. In particular, a good understanding of the SC mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support

Contract length: 03 Years
