LLINs Distribution Manager (Malaria control)
ROLEPURPOSE
The LLINs distribution Manager will oversee theimplementation of Global Fund/PSI supported Save the Children’s Malaria Control Program in Abyei Areaadministration, Greater Torit and Kapoeta state of South Sudan. She/he willwork closely and in consultation with Operation Manager and field based programstaff in the implementation of vector control Global Funded Malaria controlprogram interventions (LLINs distribution)
Responsibilities will also include project reports (PUDR) andensuring the project is implemented in accordance to the agreed contracts andbudget, S/he will work under the supervision of Zonal Operation Manager andtechnical support of Health /Nutrition TS along with close coordination andcollaboration with Ministry of Health.
SKILLS& QUALIFICATIONS
Degree, Business Administration, SupplyChain, Social Science or related training such as Medical logistics, Projectdesign, development and management.
Experience in managing Global Fundprojects is Preferred
Experience working in vector controlmanagement/ LLINs distribution and Malaria control preferred.
Minimum of two years’ experienceworking in management position in an International Non-GovernmentalOrganization.
Capacity to implement country wideLLINs Mass distribution and IEC/BCC and ensuring effective linkage between BHI.
Experience working with communities ofdiverse cultural practices and low literacy levels.
Computer literacy with advanced wordprocessing, spreadsheet and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational, budget,project management, communication and writing skills.
Leadership skills, including theability to supervise and motivate staff.
Experience of proactively identifyingand addressing issues.
Experience of establishing strong andconstructive working relationships with colleagues from different functions andorganizations.
Experience in monitoring and evaluationof community-based health programs.
Ability to frequently travel to thefield sites and work in hardship, insecure remote and non-accompaniedlocations.
Commitment to the values and principlesof Save the Children.
Desirable
Previous experience working in SouthSudan
Familiarity with communicationprotocols in security sensitive locations including radio communicationprotocol.
Contract length: 4 months
