ROLEPURPOSE
To ensure strategic orientation of knowledge management andlearning approaches for the South Sudan Country office, To ensure thecoordination, planning, implementation and reporting of all learning andresearch activities of the programme, Lead and Coordinate Knowledge sharing andlearning initiatives across partners and and field offices, coordinate withAwards and Technical Specialists and provide inputs for donor reporting.
RoleDimensions:
The Learning and Reporting Coordinator (LRC) engages with COprocesses to accelerate transformative change for children in all contexts inSouth Sudan by documentation and evidence generation. The LRC will ensure allsystems set up for knowledge management and learning including capacitybuilding at field office levels. The LRC will also ensure timely and qualityreports are submitted to donor. The LRC is responsible for documentation of CSPimplementation, reporting (as per RO guidance) and documenting lessons learned
SKILLS& QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’sDegree preferably in Media and Communications, Knowledge Management or relatedfields with experience in relevant sector and Professional Certification inKnowledge Management Preferable
3years working experience in relevant sectors
Highlydeveloped conceptual, analytical, and innovative problem-solving ability;demonstrated ability to handle complex knowledge management issues
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
Extensive practical experience inapplying information technology to the implementation of knowledge managementand Learning strategies
Proven ability to assess informationneeds and be innovative in the design and delivery of appropriate targetedsolutions
Proven ability to build and maintainclose and constructive working relationships with peers, management and staffin defining and fulfilling knowledge needs
Understanding of the principles forcreating and maintaining communities of practice
Understanding of concepts, tools andfeatures of help desk operations and of knowledge dissemination via web-basedand print publishing
Proven ability to write concise reportsand deliver effective oral presentations
Demonstrated interpersonal skills, includingthe ability to collaborate effectively in networks and communities of practice
Excellent verbal and writtencommunication in English
A flexible and resourceful attitudewith the ability to manage and prioritise an unpredictable workload.
Proven analytical and problem solvingskills in order to understand the range and content of the emergencyprogrammes’ work and provide practical solutions to operational challenges.
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel,Access, and Power Point)
Proven data analysis and report writingskills
Good understanding of childparticipation, child protection and child rights governance issues
Knowledge of regional bodies such asthe African Union is an added advantage
Cross-cultural experience,understanding and sensitivity;
Strong self-starter who is able to takeinitiative
Commitment to Save the Children aims,values and policies, including child safeguarding and data protection
Excellent interpersonal and written andoral communication skills;
Contract length: Until 31st December 2019
