Chemonics seeks a grants manager for the anticipated USAID Local Governance Strengthening (LOGOS) activity in Mozambique. The activity’s overall objective is to support the Mozambican government in decentralizing governance to improve public service delivery at the central, provincial, district, or municipal levels. This position will be based in Maputo. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
Administer grants and procurement processes related to sub-award management
Finalize and manage sub-awards, ensuring partners’ compliance with USAID policies and procedures
Collaborate with program and monitoring and evaluation teams to ensure comprehensive oversight during project implementation
Advise staff on contractual and grant issues, donor compliance, and implementation of policies related to sub-award management and risk mitigation
Qualifications:
Degree in project management, business administration, public administration, or another relevant field
Minimum of three years of experience in grants management roles with increasing responsibility required; experience in grants management roles on donor-funded development programs preferred
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Fluency in English and Portuguese
