If you’re a high school or college student seeking tuition aid, now is the time to apply through the San Diego Foundation‘s 2016-2017 scholarship programs.

The foundation’s Community Scholarship Program, the largest in the San Diego region outside of a university, provides a variety of scholarships to high school students, current college students, graduate students and adult re-entry students.

Last year more than $2.3 million was awarded to over 1,000 local students for the 2015-2016 school year. Funds are available under more than 120 individual scholarships.

The application period opened earlier this month and continues through Feb. 3.

Students can apply online at http://www.sdfoundation.org/students/common-scholarship-app/.

In partnership with the foundation, local donors review applications from nearly 3,000 students each year. Since 1997, the program has awarded more than $24 million to thousands of students.

The 40-year-old San Diego Foundation manages more than $643 million in charitable assets and promotes responsible charitable giving in the Sand Diego region.
