RSO recruits 01 Fundraising and Communications Manager

RSO recruits 01 Fundraising and Communications Manager

Organization’s Description

The Rabbit School (RSO) is one of the very few and longest-standing local organizations in Cambodia providing special education and vocational training for children and youth with intellectual disabilities and autism. Beyond education, RSO acts as an advocate and a community-builder, bringing parents, educators, and local authorities together to advance towards a more inclusive society.

In Cambodia, children and youth with special needs are often excluded from public life due to deep-rooted stigma and traditional misconceptions. Additionally, the country lacks a public special-education system, leaving families – most of whom face economic hardship – without access to the services their children need.

With over 28 years of experience and more than 850 students enrolled, RSO creates future opportunities through trained special-education teachers and classrooms tailored to a range of disabilities, including autism, Down Syndrome, and cognitive delays.Working inside public schools, we operate adapted classrooms across four provinces (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Kandal, and Kampong Speu).

Our mission is centered in four main areas:

  •  Education for children and youth with intellectual disabilities (aged 4 to 25).
  • Teacher training and capacity building.
  • Vocational training and pathways to employment for young adults.
  • Advocacy with government, local authorities, and the wider public.

RSO is in a pivotal stage in its development, with numerous projects underway. These initiatives aim to expand our reach to meet the growing needs of young people with intellectual disabilities in Cambodia and to strengthen our long-term sustainability through new donor partnerships and emerging social business activities.
