We are looking for an experienced SENEGALESE « Marine Coordinator » for our client in Offshore Oil & Gas sector.
Mission: the main objective of this position is to detail the activities required for the successfull implementation of the Marine Coordination Plan. The scope of work encompasses tasks related to stakeholder engagement, communication, risk assessment, emergency response and ongoing monitoring.
Duties & responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Identification and Categorisation
1.1 Identify and compile a comprehensive list of stakeholders involved in maritime activities within the project area.
1.2 Categorize stakeholders into groups, such as fishing boat operators, commercial shipping companies, harbour authorities, fishermen’s associations, Coast Guard, and local communities.
2. Communication Channels:
2.1 Establish communication protocols and channels for each stakeholder group.
2.2 Designate communication officers responsible for disseminating information to stakeholders.

3.2 Evaluate the risks associated with the project timeline, construction activities, temporary restrictions on maritime routes, and environmental considerations.
3.3 Develop mitigation strategies for identified risks.
4. Early Warning System:
4.1 Design and implement an early warning system to notify stakeholders of upcoming activities affecting maritime operations.
4.2 Provide advanced notice of construction activities, temporary closures, or restrictions on maritime routes.

8.1 Develop a comprehensive emergency response plan in coordination with relevant authorities.
8.2 Outline immediate response procedures, evacuation protocols, and communication plans during emergencies.
8.3 Conduct drills and simulations to ensure readiness.
Experience / Requirements / Qualifications
Higher National Diploma (Bac + 5) in project management, logistics, QHSE or equivalent
8-10 years of experience in a similar position
Good knowledge of maritime sector
Excellent mastery of project cycle management; Teamwork and good coordination skills; good communication, writing, analysis and synthesis skills (Fluent French & English); Strong sense of organization and rigor; Responsiveness, strong sense of initiative, autonomy; diplomacy, patience and ability to adapt; Good knowledge of safety rules
Good knowledge of office software
