The Resourcing Racial Justice fund has been launched to provide financial support to individuals and organisations that are working to redress the impact of COVID-19 and beyond on those who identify as People of Colour (POC), (which includes other terms such as BAME, racialised people, black indigenous, people of colour BIPOC).

Individuals can be change-makers, activists, innovators, social leaders, ecosystem builders and artists working outside existing organisational structures. Organisations can be either incorporated, unincorporated and / or unconstituted e.g. community and grassroots groups/networks/projects.

The Resourcing Racial Justice fund is a coalition of people of colour (POC) innovators, change-makers, activists, artists and social leaders dedicated to social change. Together, they have established a new UK wide-funding pool to support individuals and communities working towards racial justice.

Funding Information

Supporting Individuals: £5k – £30k
The Resourcing Racial Justice fund values the work, ideas and visions of inspiring individuals addressing structural and systemic racism. This application is for individuals who identify as change-makers, activists, innovators, social leaders, ecosystem builders and artists who are carrying out their work outside of existing organisational structures.
Supporting Organisations- Emergency and Recovery: £5k – £30k
The Resourcing Racial Justice fund invests in organisations committed to addressing the needs of communities of colour within COVID-19 and beyond. This application is for organisations looking for smaller investments of £5k-£30k. It is also for emergency funding that organisations might need to sustain themselves and meet the needs of people of colour within this crisis. Organisations can be either incorporated, unincorporated and / or unconstituted e.g. community and grassroots groups/networks/projects.
Supporting Organisations- Long Term Structural Change: £30k – £50K
The Resourcing Racial Justice fund invests in organisations committed to addressing the needs of communities of colour within COVID-19 and beyond. This application is for organisations and ideas that present transformational and radical alternatives that will support people of colour creating solutions for change on a systemic level. This can include emergency funding required to sustain organisations who are working to make long term structural change for communities of colour. Organisations can be either incorporated, unincorporated and / or unconstituted e.g. community and grassroots groups/networks/projects.
Applicants can apply for grants ranging from £5,000 to £50,000.
Eligibility Criteria

The fund is open to applications from individuals, groups and organisations (of any size), working anywhere in the UK.
You must be working to take forward racial justice.
No other exclusions apply.

Projects should meet the following criteria:

Projects that meet the immediate needs and/or impact of crisis – be it COVID-19 or otherwise for communities of colour
Ideas that present transformational and radical alternatives that will support people of colour creating solutions for change on a systemic level.
‘Ecosystem builders’ – visionaries that exist between the mainstream and the margins who are working to mobilise connections and resources for the benefit of their communities. This could include: Lived Experience Leaders –POC leaders; activists; community leaders; innovators; change-makers working on racial justice.
Those with an international perspective, seeking to amplify and build relationships with communities in the global south in order to achieve global change.
The Fund welcomes projects connected to faith and spirituality.
