Resource Justice Network (formerly known as Publish What You Pay, PWYP) is looking for a highly motivated individual with strong relationship building and advocacy skills to join our team as Regional Coordinator for Francophone Africa.

The Regional Coordinator is responsible for leading the implementation of Resource Justice Network’s 2030 Strategy across Francophone Africa. The role involves coordinating with national coalitions and members to drive regional advocacy and foster movement-building on key thematic issues such as fossil fuels, transition minerals, and gender justice. The Coordinator will also oversee regional planning, project management, and fundraising, ensuring strong collaboration with other teams to amplify the network’s impact and member-led stories of change.

Location: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, DRC, Gabon, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal or Togo

Contract: One year fixed term contract, 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with national coalition members, partners and donors in the region
  • Map and coordinate members’ engagement in regional advocacy and events
  • Enhance the diversity, inclusiveness and advocacy capacity of coalitions in the region
  • Identify fundraising opportunities and manage sub-granting to members
  • Implement monitoring, evaluation and learning practices to inform strategic planning and reflection

Salary and Benefits

Salary: Adjusted for location. Resource Justice Network takes a rigorous approach to salary setting and operates a remuneration scale based on global equity. Our goal is that staff carrying out similar roles should have broadly equivalent standards of living and, since the cost of accommodation, goods and services can vary significantly in different countries, it is important to adjust for this when determining salaries. A sample of the gross salary on offer in different locations, is below:

Health & Pension Benefits

Resource Justice Network operates a contributory pension scheme into which you will be auto-enrolled after three months’ of continuous service (subject to the conditions of the scheme). In addition to any contributions you make, Resource Justice Network will make contributions of 8%.

Resource Justice Network also provides three types of health benefits: (i) Life Assurance, providing you with cover in the event of death in service; (ii) Long Term disability cover, providing earnings protection in the event of serious injury leaving you unable to work; and (iii) a health cash plan, which offers contributions to certain types of health treatment.

Where Resource Justice Network is unable to provide these benefits in kind for any reason, it will provide 15% of the value of the employees gross salary in lieu, in order to ensure they are compensated at the same level as employees receiving those benefits in kind.

 

Annual Leave

Resource Justice Network provides all employees with 40 days leave, inclusive of public holidays, regardless of location.
