The Fenland District Council is seeking applications for its Ransonmoor Community Fund to provide grants for groups wanting to make improvements in their community that will have an environmental benefit.
The fund is managed by a committee, made up of:
Fenland District Council
Representatives from Doddington, Benwick and Wimblington Parish Councils
Representatives living within the turbine catchment area

Draught proofing

Renewable energy
Solar panels
Wind power
Heat pumps
Biomass (e.g wood) heating
Water efficiency
Rain water recycling
Grey water reuse
Paving or communal planting to prevent flooding
Compost toilets
Wildlife
Creating habitats
Protecting species
Restoring communal green spaces for wildlife
Waste
Projects aiming to reduce or recycle waste
Transport
Car sharing
Bio-diesel vehicles
Community cycling
Sustainable materials
Projects aiming to increase the use of sustainable materials

The maximum grant amount per project is £5,000.
Ineligible
The following will not be funded:
Bids from ‘for profit’ organisations
Bids from individual households
Fulfillment of statutory duty, running costs or maintenance
Projects that won’t have enough environmental benefit
Projects where the works have been completed prior to approval.
