QA TRAINEE within Philip Morris Manufacturing Senegal Quality team

Purpose :
Provide support and expertise in Quality to other departments to achieve high quality level for material, product, or process. Bring process and product improvements to resolve quality and / or operational issues while optimizing costs. Constantly apply OPEN + (Lean Manufacturing) standards of working.
The Trainee will support the QA Manager in the following areas

QUALITY SUPPORT :
Analyze quality data and propose actions / solutions in coordination with production teams to improve material and product quality performance.
Provide timely support in case of any quality problems or non-conformities encountered on products in order to minimize the impact on quality and production performance.
IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES
Propose and lead initiatives to improve quality and productivity.
Follow the implementation of actions in coordination with other team members (quality, production, region etc.) and monitor efficiency to contribute to the concept of Total Quality, Lean manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

REPORTING & MONITORING OF INDICATORS :
Coordinate the preparation of the monthly review of quality indicators with members of the local and regional teams and the planning department. Ensure the availability and reliability of data and the relevance of the proposed improvement actions.
Ensure the implementation or improve existing quality reports using innovative reporting systems such as MS Office, Power BI… in order to reduce waste of time and meet the needs of interested parties.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports and share with interested parties.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM and AUDITS :
Participate in maintaining the quality management system.
Coordinate and support the implementation of procedures necessary for good production practices.
Participate in various internal and external audits or inspections and ensure that they are carried out in an appropriate manner and that corrective actions are identified, followed and documented.

COLLABORATION :
Maintain strong and efficient collaboration with internal and external stakeholders so that collaboration and information exchanged can ensure quality and compliance with PMI standards, standardization, and continuous improvement.

HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT :
Promote and apply all rules concerning PMI Quality, environment, health and safety.
Report all situations requiring actions in order to minimize or eliminate risks exposure to personnel, company assets and societal impacts and be in line with or ahead of any applicable Law requirements and Company standards.

Who we’re looking for :
Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Quality & Engineering
Proven knowledge and skills in IT (be comfortable with pack office) and project management.
Advanced knowledge of root cause analysis, problem solving or statistical assessment tools.
Knowledge of standards (ISO, GMP).
Fluent in English & Local Language
Strong analytical skills
