Key End Results and typical Responsibilities:
“What” is done and “why”, but not “actions” or “how”; include indicators for success
Monitor budget versus expenditure for the grant.
Update Indicative Funding Budgets in consultation with project coordinators.
Reviews the the budgets for the project and budget modifications and submit the same to the Finance Manager for incorporation into project budgets.
Reviews Project financial reports before submitting to the FM.
Ensure compliance to donor requirements on financial issues for the grant.
Prepare and submits monthly grant BVA to the Finance Manager.
Grants Audit Planning and preparation of TORs for submission to the FM.
Co-ordinate and facilitate the audit of the grant as per contractual agreement.
Regular field visits to all project areas to verify that resources are optimally used.
Liaise with respective technical advisors and grant coordinators to assess the partner in the financial management.
Assist Project Coordinators in conducting financial training programs for partners, particularly CBO involved in implementation of grant.
Promotes and abides by internal policies and procedures including but not limited to: Child Protection Policy; Code of Conduct; mandatory reporting responsibility.
Any other duties in line with the job as prescribed by supervisor
Dealing with Problems:
Application of knowledge required for the role, complexity of problems handled & the degree of investigation, analysis, & creative thinking required to solve them.
The position requires appropriate financial expertise to ensure the project meets its accountability for financial operations and up to date grant financial records and reporting.
Communications and Working Relationships:
Working contacts inside and outside the organization; include the purpose and level (high, medium, low) of the contact

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours Required to Achieve Role’s Objectives:
Knowledge
A degree in Accounting; CIS or equivalent qualification
5 years’ experience in a similar role working in a computerized accounting office in an NGO set up.

Communication skills, appropriate to the audience
Ability to interpret and work accordance with laid down procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant software and other applications, e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet

Annual remuneration – 1.260,000.00MT
