Project Engineer within Philip Morris Senegal Engineering & Technical Services
Key responsibilities
The project engineer will work in concordance with PMI EHSS procedures and guidelines to ensure that all manufacturing utilities and building investment projects are executed as per planned timings and budgets.
The key accountabilities will be as follows
- Promote and apply PMI EHSS roles and take necessary actions for improvement and targets meeting (Avoid LTI, reduce negative environmental impact, enhance safety culture).
- Assure adherence to PM financial policies, the capital budgeting process, engineering standards
- Manage development of project scope and prepare schedules and estimates to enable evaluation of project feasibility and business benefit
- Ensure that all projects are successfully implemented according to the plan and that all projects are executed to maximize the performance of the manufacturing process and in a cost effective way
- Provide technical project review, determine and recommend any necessary changes that may alter the project scope/goals; update engineering and plant management on project status.
- Prepare or supervises preparation of equipment specifications, parts lists, drawings, and purchase requisitions for equipment and contract services.
- Analyze problems and design improvements to processes, systems, facilities, and/or equipment by researching the assigned problem and recommending a course of actions
- Establish professional working relationships with peers and associates within and outside the department and with OEMs, contractors and consultants to develop confidence in his/her communication skills and abilities.
- Develop strategic vision by designing and implementing complex projects
Requirements
- Engineer in Electronics
- Previous work experience with industrial software (AutoCAD , SAP, MS Project)
- Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken)
- Experienced in using Microsoft Office
- Experienced in Project Management
- Demonstrated leadership, result orientation, accountability, self-motivation
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal collaboration skills
- Demonstrated Presentation and Time management skills
- Experienced with Problem Solving in the production area
- Effective priority setting skills
- Overall strong technical skills and a good understanding of technical processes, both hands-on and theory
