Open Call: AI for Life Sciences Challenge (India)

The Hexaware Innovation Challenge invites startups and research innovators to develop Agentic AI solutions that can redefine how clinical trials are designed, monitored, and scaled.

Clinical trials are the backbone of life sciences innovation — yet they remain complex, costly, and time-consuming. The Hexaware Innovation Challenge aims to change that.

By combining deep-tech innovation, clinical and enterprise-grade challenges, the initiative offers a unique platform to fast-track breakthroughs in clinical research workflows.

Over a month-long program, selected participants will work on real-world problem statements with access to Hexaware and IIITH’s ecosystem predominantly technical mentorship, clinical datasets, and expert guidance — culminating in a high-impact Innovation Immersion Day, where finalists will showcase their prototypes to industry leaders and stakeholders.

Focus Areas

They are seeking intelligent AI-agent-based solutions that address critical pain points across the clinical trial lifecycle:
- Data Management Assistant Agent: Automate protocol-driven specifications, EDC and external data monitoring, and reconciliation
- Central Monitoring Agent: Enable real-time, risk-based oversight across study sites
- CDISC + TLF Automation Agent: Streamline data mapping and analytics output for regulatory submissions
- CSR Automation Agent: Support automated clinical study reporting and digital review processes
