Poste proposé : Financial Product Analyst

Context :

Oolu Solar is a growing solar energy provider in West Africa with presence in Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon and plans to expand within the region. We are looking for a passionate, motivated and dynamic analyst able to demonstrate an interest in business model innovation and statistical analysis to join us as a Financial Product Analyst.

The Analyst will support the Financial Product Manager in developing and maintaining world class KYC processes, setting and evaluating Oolu’s pricing plans, monitor key performance indicators around sales and portfolio quality, and build business cases to launch new projects and products that will drive scale.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Management

Deliver key Financial Product Management reports in a timely and accurate manner
Update and maintain budget assumptions
Preparing and automating reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
Collaborating with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance.

Strategy Development

Driving consumer finance strategy with data-based information
Ensure competitive intelligence.
Regularly analyze existing products and services based on customers’ consumption habits.
Coordinate and/or carry out market studies/pilot projects, tests and surveys
Designing, reviewing and evaluating the results of surveys and pilot projects to increase understanding of customer base
Propose adaptations, areas for operational improvement, or new products based on analyses of the customer portfolio.
Define the coherence of the global strategy of the products or product line as well as their profitability
Contribute to the pricing and financing strategy
Source of proposals for improvements in the product range in line with Oolu Solar’s strategic orientations, regulations and competition.
Coordinate cross-functionally during the project design and implementation process.

Profil recherché pour le poste : Financial Product Analyst

Candidate Profile :

Motivated and inquisitive self-starter with ability to work well in an unstructured environment
1-3 years of experience in BI/Statistics/finance
Experience in delivering key reports in a timely manner
Experience in analyzing large data sets and generating useful insights
Experience in determining and optimizing pricing
Proficiency in English and French
Excellent Excel & Presentation skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Skills :

Bachelors in finance, economics, statistics, marketing, marketing of financial service
More than 1 year of experience in a similar role
Strong foundation in financial analysis and high level modeling
Knowledge of financial products and services
Good knowledge of financial risks in rural areas
Experience in the use of database management, data visualization or statistical analysis tools
Mastery of office automation tools (G Suite, Microsoft Office)
Fluency in French and English.
