The Olive Tree Foundation invites applications from community-based groups working within the fields of social, health and community services; education and library services; policy institutes and think tanks; and arts, culture and heritage.

The Olive Tree Foundation provides grants of varying amounts as determined by the Board of Directors and its Grants Committee, based on available funds and the potential value of the proposed initiative to the community.

Priorities

  • Priority areas for funding in 2023 are:
    • Anti-racism/Islamophobia
    • Indigenous and interfaith
    • Climate Action
    • Youth

What will be funded?

  • The Olive Tree Foundation supports a range of charitable activities in their community: social, community and health services; education and library services; policy institutes and think tanks; and arts, culture & heritage.

Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eligible to receive a grant from the Olive Tree Foundation, a project must be submitted by an organization holding charitable registration with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency or sponsored by an organization with charitable registration. The Foundation provides grants of varying amounts as determined by the Board of Directors and its Grants Committee, based on available funds and the potential value of the proposed initiative to the community. They encourage you to contact the Olive Tree Foundation to discuss your project prior to beginning the application process.

Granting Process

  • Grants are not made to reduce operating or capital deficits; to support ongoing operating costs; to individuals; to annual, general or capital fundraising campaigns; or for purposes which may be deemed discriminatory.
  • The Olive Tree Foundation awards grants to not-for-profit organizations holding charitable registration with Customs and Revenue Canada Agency (or sponsored by an organization with charitable registration).
  • They invite applications from community-based groups working within the fields of social, health and community services; education and library services; policy institutes and think tanks; and arts, culture and heritage.
  • The Olive Tree Foundation provides grants of varying amounts as determined by the Board of Directors and its Grants Committee, based on available funds and the potential value of the proposed initiative to the community.
