Off-Grid Africa is looking for a Chartered Accountant to work part-time/Full-time for Off-Grid Africa. Work is available to begin with immediate effect. OGA is a daughter company to Off-Grid Europe, a German based R&D and producer of power containers for renewable energy.
We have a number of essential tasks to work on such as bringing our newly formed OGA up to international standards, audit out current books, implement our new finance system across OGA/OGE, improve financial routines and implement guides and strategies for financial improvements.
We are looking for:
- Multilingual with fluent written/spoken French/English as a minimum requirement
- Experience working internationally, as part of international teams and to international standards
- Extremely well organized in all aspects of work
- Ability to fluently work with numbers, do mathematics, work in advanced spreadsheets, ability to intuitively see problems with datasets and feel the flow of the numbers (if you are this kind of person you will know)
- Strong experience with online accounting platforms, query databases for numbers, ability to download/upload data, set up custom analyses
- Proactive and forward thinking, working towards future solutions
- Ability to put together complicated financial propositions based for sales of solar systems with information on depreciation, ROI, compounded interest, investment capital, land lease and other aspects.
- Understanding of various types of investment capital (VC, Private, Government, Business)
