NRC recruits 01 Security Manager
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water,sanitation and hygiene sectors.
The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs
NRC is in the process of setting up offices in Niger with Niamey as country office and eventually Tillabéri as an Area Office. Currently, NRC is looking at responding to needs within the following core competencies: Education and ICLA (information Counselling and Legal Assistance).
We are recruiting an internationally experienced Security Manager with a strong ability to work in a team, a keen appetite for problem solving and an interest in operations for our new country program in Niger.
This is an opportunity to lead the security & safety set-up of a new country office:
|Expériences / Formation du candidat||You have: Minimum 3 years of experience from working as a senior Security Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context; previous experience of working in complex and volatile contexts; knowledge of the Sahel; experience of humanitarian access; documented results related to the position’s responsibilities; knowledge about own leadership skills/profile; valid driver’s license.
Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal is a requirement; Knowledge and use of at least one local language is an asset.
