NRC recruits 01 Logistics Manager

Central African Republic (CAR) is experiencing a humanitarian crisis, with more than 600,000 internally displaced, and 500,000 of refugees in neighbouring countries, and many more affected. NRC started the current country programme in CAR in February 2014, and is currently operating in five field offices; Berberati in the South West, Dekoa in the Centre West, Kaga Bandoro in the Centre North, Ndele in the north, Alindao in the southeast, as well as the capital office in Bangui.

The security situation is highly volatile and very difficult to predict. NRC’s geographical areas of intervention are stable at the moment but it is difficult to predict if they will remain stable, even in the short term.

The programme portfolio includes all five core competencies of NRC.  ICLA (Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance), Livelihood and Food Security, WASH, Shelter and Education, Mediation, as well as Protection and Community Based Planning programmes.

The purpose of the Logistics Manager is to be responsible that the logistic set up is according to NRC standards and to support programme/project implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that country set up complies with Logistics Handbook, NRC policies and donor requirements
Implement NRC’s logistics systems and procedures
Training and support of line managers and staff with logistics responsibilities
Management of the logistics team
Ensure anti-corruption focus in procedures and trainings
Establish filing systems/archives according to NRC standards in all offices
Initiate and maintain necessary leases, licenses and contracts with relevant authorities and suppliers
Develop clear warehousing system in line with NRC standards
Improve on vehicle management for the country programme
Submit monthly/annual reports to the Region and Oslo where necessary
Ensure the Disposal of obsolete assets in the country programme
