North Herts Council announces Sustainable Communities Grant Programme (UK)

Applications are now open for the Sustainable Communities Grant Programme, which will help communities and businesses in North Hertfordshire act on sustainability and climate change.

Funding Information

• Grant values will range from a minimum of £1,000 to a maximum of £20,000.

Eligible Project Activities

• Applicants’ projects may seek to:
  • protect and conserve nature;
  • increase biodiversity;
  • reduce emissions of buildings by installing low carbon heating options, renewable technology, or improving energy efficiency;
  • improve sustainable transport;
  • make communities better adapted to climate impacts;
  • or increase community engagement on sustainability and climate change.

Eligibility Criteria

• The Fund is open to volunteer-led groups or those who operate on a not-for-profit basis and businesses
