The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) is conducting a second round of funding to expand the COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund to Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, and Union Counties.

Funding in round two prioritizes organizations promoting racial justice by addressing the disproportionate economic, social, and health impacts COVID-19 has on communities of color.

The size of grants will range from $1,000 to $10,000 with an average grant size of $4,000.
NNJCF anticipates approving between 50 and 60 grants in this round of funding.
Eligibility Criteria

This fund will provide one time only grants to support urgent funding needs of small 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organizations operating in Bergen Essex, Hudson, Passaic and/or Union County.
Applications that do not include a valid 501 (c)(3) Tax ID Number will not be considered. Funding is unrestricted in use but must cover expenses related to increased demand for services and/or decreased funding as a result of COVID-19.
NNJCF will also support nonprofit arts organizations and other nonprofit organizations providing arts programs and services that build community engagement using interactive programming and public art for people experiencing isolation. 20% of Round Two funding has been earmarked for arts programs/organizations.
These grants are NOT intended to support organizations with endowed funds.
Organizations that applied to either NNJCF or The Community Chest in Englewood in round one are NOT eligible to apply in round two, regardless of if they received funding in round one.
Incomplete Applications will not be reviewed.
