Nesta Good Help Award 2018 (Win up to £15,000 for your Project)

Nesta invites applications for the Good Help Award 2018. The Good Help Award will reward an organisation or team that demonstrates they are helping people transform their lives by helping them develop their sense of purpose and confidence to take action. The Good Help Award is one way to find out more about ‘good help’ and how it helps people take action.
The Award will look for creative approaches, that have been developed with people and that enable practitioners to work in partnership with the people they are aiming to help. The scale of the programme could be large or small, the judges will be looking at the impact it is having on people’s sense of purpose and confidence to act.
Nesta is an innovation foundation. They back new ideas to tackle the big challenges of our time.
Award
- There are three awards available – one £15,000 winner, and two £5,000 runners up. The winners of these awards will be asked to spend the money on activities that support their ‘good help’ work.
Eligibility
The award is open to anyone offering ‘good help’ through an established project, programme or service. This includes:
- Organisations or teams from within the public, voluntary, community or social enterprise sectors;
- Commissioners and/or providers;
- Projects, programmes or services that have been operational for at least 12 months;
- ‘Good help’ in the UK
Judging Criteria
There are four criteria that the judges will use when considering the submissions. You can decide how to communicate these criteria via the written submission and video:
- Your Approach to ‘Good Help’
- The impact of your ‘Good Help’
- Your inspiration for ‘Good Help’
- Your vision for ‘Good Help’
Application
Applicants are invited to submit an expression of interest online. This involves submitting a short online form and a supporting video of no more than three minutes. If you would prefer not to submit a video, please let the organizers know.
